Fragrance wardrobe
Create your collection
Build a collection by levels: first season, then time of day, and finally occasion. The goal is to cover real uses, not accumulate similar perfumes.
Judgment
Before adding another perfume
One job per bottle
Before buying, define the gap it fills: climate, occasion, formality or personal signature.
Dose before power
An intense perfume can work in more contexts if you control quantity and application point.
Test for several days
The opening is not enough. Evaluate drydown, duration, comfort and behavior indoors.
Avoid duplicates
If two perfumes do the same job, keep the one that works better on your skin and in your climate.
Levels
Define your collection by season and occasion
Use these levels as a matrix. Stay at level 1 for minimalism, move to level 2 if you rotate by climate, or reach level 3 if you want precision by context.
Level 1: cover climate
Start with a few perfumes that do not overlap. The first useful split is temperature and density.
Fresh daily fragrance for spring and summer
Citrus, aromatic, tea, neroli, fig, light woods or clean musk.
Fuller base for autumn and winter
Amber, dry vanilla, tonka, soft leather, spices, incense or dense woods.
Level 2: season + moment
Once heat and cold are covered, split day and night. Night allows more texture; daytime needs control.
Clean freshness with low intrusion
Citrus cologne, transparent floral, soft aquatic or soapy musk.
Fresh profile with more presence
Luminous chypre, fresh wood, spiced aromatic or green fruit with moss.
Moderate warmth for indoor use
Iris, vetiver, creamy wood, cardamom, black tea or discreet amber.
Depth and trail
Tobacco, vanilla, rum, soft oud, resins, leather or sweet spices.
Level 3: season + occasion
A mature collection does not just add bottles; it assigns a clear job by context, closeness and formality.
Office
Controlled trail, cleanliness and no saturation.
Clean musk, tea, neroli, soft lavender or pale wood.
Vetiver, iris, dry cedar, light amber or clean leather.
Casual daily
Easy, comfortable perfumes with personality and no strict setting.
Citrus, aromatic, fig, mint, soft marine or transparent floral.
Moderate tonka, dry vanilla, creamy wood or soft spices.
Date / close setting
Pleasant skin texture, measured sweetness and low aggression.
Creamy flowers, skin musks, controlled fresh fruit or soft woods.
Skin amber, elegant vanilla, iris, polished leather or soft resins.
Formal event
Recognizable elegance, structure and dressed-up presence.
Fresh chypre, vetiver, dry woods or controlled white floral.
Iris, leather, incense, sober amber, refined oud or dark florals.
